Grommets, cording, and lacing are components used together to fasten, tighten, or decorate various items, from clothing to footwear. An eyelet or grommet is a reinforced hole, cording is the string or rope, and lacing is the system of weaving the cord through the eyelets to draw two sides of a garment together.
