Silhouette & Structure:  The body-hugging mermaid silhouette gracefully contours your figure, flaring at the knees into a dramatic, large flounce that creates the signature “mermaid tail” effect. The dress features a meticulously constructed corset bodice, crafted from 16 expertly placed panels and reinforced with spiral steel boning for unmatched support, shaping, and comfort. The natural waistline flatters and enhances your curves, while the sleeveless, sweetheart neckline elegantly frames the décolletage.

Closure & Fit:  A popular corset lacing technique used along the finished edges of the center back seam, where durable metal grommets have been placed, and using decorative cording, the opening is laced closed.  An alternate closure can be implemented, which involves a hidden zipper, and then a system of strategically placed pairs of satin loops is attached to each side of the zipper.  From there, a long piece of double-sided satin ribbon is woven or laced through each pair of satin loops (like you would do to lace up a pair of tennis shoes). Both of these closure systems allow you to achieve a secure, personalized, hourglass fit, but they also add a touch of vintage-inspired allure.

Premium Fabrics & Lining:  Our designers will choose from a variety of luxurious 100% cotton knits or sumptuous 100% silk stretch fabric for the outer shell, providing both comfort and a subtle sheen. The dress will be lined with either a light-weight stretch fabric—either an interlock knit or soft tricot—to ensure a smooth feel against your skin and ease of movement throughout your celebration.
