Experience a one-of-a-kind couture creation brought to you from the designers at Cocoa & Ivory Bridal Couture. As with all of our designs, this exceptional garment can be custom-made according to your own personal measurements which results in blending classic romance with contemporary artistry for a truly unique look on your wedding day.
Silhouette and Structure:
- Features an A-Line Silhouette with an Empire Waist: A timeless and universally flattering A-line silhouette is enhanced by a raised empire waistline, placed just below the bust to elongate the body and create a graceful, flowing profile.
- Hidden Corseted Foundation: For an impeccable fit and all-day comfort, the dress is built upon a custom-made, hidden corseted foundation. This integrated structure provides superior support for the gown’s heavy-set fabric and intricate design , ensuring the silhouette holds its shape flawlessly.
- 16-Panel Bodice: The sleeveless bodice is a marvel of precision tailoring, constructed from 16 separate panels of fabric. This complex design ensures a perfectly contoured, bespoke fit that highlights the bust and draws attention to the décolletage.
- Spiral Steel Boning: To provide flexible yet durable support, each of the bodice’s vertical seams is reinforced with a pre-fitted piece of high-quality spiral steel boning, offering superior structure without sacrificing comfort or movement.
- Seamless Design: The paneled construction of the bodice continues uninterrupted all the way to the floor, eliminating horizontal seams at the waist and hips. This design creates a long, lean, and seamless visual line from the bust to the hem.
Artistry and detail:
- Artisan Hand-Painted Designs: Every inch of the gown and overskirt is a canvas for original, freehand artistry. Heavily covered in hand-painted designs, motifs, and patterns, each dress is a unique masterpiece, with no two gowns ever being the same.
- Full-Circle Overskirt: A top skirt layer, or overskirt, is attached at the empire waist seam, draping over the paneled base gown. This feature gives the appearance of a floor-length duster coat, adding a layer of ethereal movement and volume that flows gracefully with every step.
- Natural Fiber Canvas: Our hand-painted designs are applied exclusively to natural fiber fabrics, including 100% cotton, linen, silk, or a custom-blended variation of these materials. The use of natural fibers ensures that the acrylic hand-painted designs are vibrant, long-lasting, and can be properly set into the fabric.
Customization and legacy:
- Textile Innovation: We are currently developing our own collection of natural fiber fabrics, which will allow for even more unique design possibilities for our couture bridal and formalwear collections.
