KEY DESIGN ATTRIBUTES

• Authentic Corseted Bodice: The bodice begins with a straight-horizontal neckline that travels up and over the bust to the other side. The true craftsmanship of a dressmaker is revealed in one garment: the corset. While a novice may struggle, a professional’s skill shines through in this foundational piece. We build 95% of our stunning gowns on the strength of a custom corset. 

Our corseted bodices are usually crafted with 16 panels and precision seaming, each seam of the corseted bodice features spiral steel boning to define and flatter your figure. The extended, long-line silhouette cinches the natural waist and curves gracefully over the hips for a sleek, supportive fit.

• Multi-layered Skirt: A stunning combination of skirt styles provides dramatic movement and unique detail:
  • An open-front peek-a-boo overskirt reveals the layers beneath.
  • A built-in overskirt with a cathedral train cascades majestically behind you.
  • A final, full-circle underskirt with a rounded hem ensures a graceful and flowing silhouette.
• Luxurious Fabric Selection: Your dress will be crafted from a selection of the highest quality natural fiber fabrics including wovens made of 100% cotton, 100% linen, 100% silk, or even a blend of 65% cotton/35% linen or a 100% cotton sateen might be selected.  Sometimes the design calls for stretch fabric and in that case we will use a 100% cotton stretch knit and we are currently investigating several new stretch Silk fabrics that have recently come on the market.  All of the dresses in our collection are lined.  If the top fabric is a woven the dress will be lined with a beautiful crepe-back satin, for a rich, smooth feel against your body.  On the other hand, if the top side fabric is a stretch knit, we will pair those fabrics with a lightweight stretch lining such as tricot.  This stunning dress calls for a woven fabric which will provide the kind of body a fabric needs to have for this design.
• Custom Closure: Finalize your look with one of three closure options for the perfect finishing touch: a traditional corseted lacing with grommets and cording, classic satin-covered buttons with matching loops, or a discreet zipper.
• Hip Sash Embellishment: A beautiful hip sash adds the final touch of elegance, creating a focal point and highlighting the flattering extended waistline.
